Historic 1880s 4th of July Celebration

Partake in a variety of historic Independence Day activities, displays, and entertainment from 1-4pm. Participate in our “Most Beautiful Pie” contest. Pie entries must be submitted between 1:45-2:15. Picnic lunches may be brought in (cleaned up before noon due to event setup on the lawn.)

Public Reading of the Declaration of Independence

This is a public reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Crawford County Courthouse steps. This is a nationwide simultaneous reading, as July 8,1776, was the very first public reading. The group will assemble at 5:45 for introductions. Reading will begin promptly at 6:00pm.
