Explore Ohio’s rich maritime history with our self-guided “Lake Erie to Ohio River Trail.” This trail has seven themes to help you get better acquainted with the lake, the river, and the canals that connected them!

Get your bike in gear and get ready to ride 250 miles over the course of a week on U.S. Route 250 – visit historic sites, great restaurants and play patriotic games at your stopovers as the Great Ohio Bike Adventure takes to the road – America 250 style!

Celebrate history, culture, and community at the Great Council State Park Heritage Celebration, an America 250-Ohio premiere event, taking place June 6, 2026, at Great Council State Park. Enjoy guided tours of the park’s interpretive center, living history demonstrations, engaging historical presentations and programs, and more.
