The Big Birthday Bash! The Crawford County History Alliance Celebrates America’s 250th!
The Crawford County History Alliance (CCHA) is hosting an America 250 Birthday Bash kick-off.
At this event, the CCHA will premiere the “CCHA History Passport Program” and the “History Storytelling Exhibit” highlighting all its member organizations.
There will be several appearances by several famous historical Americans as well as live music.
There will be plenty of patriotic birthday cake commemorating the yearlong celebration of America’s 250th as well as Ohio’s 223rd!
At this birthday celebration, all 14 member organizations will have display tables exhibiting and selling items.
CCHA member organizations include:
Bucyrus Copper Kettle Works Museum, Bucyrus Historical Society, Bucyrus Preservation Society (T&OC Station), Bucyrus Public Library, Crawford Park District, Crawford County Art Center, Crestline Historical Society, Galion Big Four Depot, Galion History Center, Harvey One Room School, Lincoln Highway Association, New Washington Historical Society, Norton Park, Lauretta Schimmoler Museum

Citizen to Patriot, Daughters of the America Revolution (DAR), and Cabin At Willow Hollow
The Castle Coin Company will have a special exhibit, “250 Years of US Coins.” This exhibit will include an example of every US coin ever minted, with a brief explanation of what was happening historically during that particular period. Some of the coins will feature particular American symbols & landmarks.
The Bucyrus Public Library has created a “Story Walk” exhibit about the Revolutionary War-Era Liberty Tree.
