Celebrate Independence Day weekend at Red, White & BOOM!, the Midwest’s largest fireworks festival and one of Ohio’s most beloved summer traditions. Drawing more than 400,000 visitors each year, this iconic Columbus celebration brings together families, friends, and visitors from across the region for a full day of patriotic festivities.
Enjoy a vibrant downtown experience featuring a community parade, a lively street festival, delicious food vendors, family-friendly activities, and live musical entertainment before the night sky lights up with a spectacular fireworks display over the Scioto River. The renowned fireworks show begins at approximately 10:00 p.m. and lasts around 25 minutes.
With scenic viewing locations throughout downtown Columbus—including the Scioto Mile, Bicentennial Park, and nearby riverfront areas—Red, White & BOOM! offers a memorable way to celebrate America’s birthday with a day full of community, entertainment, and unforgettable sights.
Schedule Highlights
10:00 a.m. – WNCI BOOM! Central broadcast begins and festivities kick off
11:00 a.m. – Street Festival opens with food, beverages, vendors, and activities
12:00 p.m. – Live entertainment begins on multiple stages
3:00 p.m. – Family Fun Zone opens at Dorrian Green near COSI
Evening – Ford Oval of Honor Parade and additional live performances
10:00 p.m. – Red, White & BOOM! Fireworks Grand Finale launches from the east bank of Genoa Park over the Scioto River
10:25–10:30 p.m. – Fireworks conclude (approximately 25 minutes)
