Nancy Rexroth: Secret of My Power

One of the leading photographers of the late 20th century, Nancy Rexroth’s legacy rests on her groundbreaking book IOWA, a collection of photographs of rural southeast Ohio. Her unmistakable style of effusive, light-filled works was created using a Diana camera-a toy camera.

This exhibition was made possible thanks to a major gift by Rexroth herself, who entrusted her entire collection to the Cincinnati art Museum, effectively positioning the museum as the leading collector of Rexroth’s works.
