Muskingum 250 – An Evening with Mr. Madison

Join us for a special night with “James Madison,” one of the key thinkers behind the U.S. Constitution, as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. This interactive program brings history to life and gives guests of all ages a chance to learn more about the ideas that shaped our nation.

The evening begins with a reception from 5:30–6:00 PM, where visitors can meet Mr. Madison, take photos, and enjoy light conversation. At 6:00 PM, Madison will deliver a one‑hour lecture exploring the founding principles of the United States, the debates that shaped the Constitution, and the challenges the young nation faced. From 7:00–8:00 PM, guests are invited to stay for an open Q&A session, where they can ask Mr. Madison questions about the early republic, the Constitution, and the world of the Founders.

This event offers a meaningful way to reflect on 250 years of American history and to connect with the ideas that continue to guide our country today.
