Letters to Home Trail Opening & Shrine Dedication

Join us for the unveiling of the Letters to Home Trail and the newly renovated Mohican-Memorial Shrine.

About the Letters to Home Trail: The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) is unveiling a new interpretive trail featuring real letters, emails, voicemails, and texts sent by Ohio service members to their families back home. The trail is adjacent to the Mohican Memorial Shrine in Mohican State Forest, Ohio’s official monument honoring nearly 20,000 Ohio service members who lost their lives in military conflicts from World War II to the present day.
