Celebrating Applachian Music and Traditions of the Early Settlers
This is a musical event following the Appalachian traditions and culture with musical instruments and song. The instruments include the dulcimer, wash board, limberjacks and spoons. The presentation also includes discussions and demonstrations of the instruments. Participation is encouraged.
Since the event is on the grounds of the Miller-Leuser Log House and farm buildings, tours of the Log House will be available. Docents will be on site to discuss the history of the house and its occupants from 1796 – 1967.
