Celebrate America’s 250th with a Community Homecoming and Picnic at BG BOOM Festival and Fireworks!

Make your homecoming one to remember this Independence Day as the City of Bowling Green, Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce, Visit BG Ohio, Northwestern Ohio Tractor Pullers Association, and the Wood County Agricultural Society present the return of the BG BOOM Festival & Fireworks on Friday, July 3, 2026!

Bring your family, friends, and hometown pride for a day filled with food, fun, and fireworks at the Wood County Fairgrounds. Enjoy a picnic under the summer sky, explore local food trucks, play games, and reconnect with your community during this all-ages celebration of America’s 250th birthday.

The festival runs from 4–9 P.M. with inflatables, interactive games, and activities hosted by local organizations — all free to attend. Then, as dusk falls, gather with your loved ones for an unforgettable 30-minute Rozzi Fireworks display, visible from across the fairgrounds.

Whether you’re coming home to visit, camping for the weekend, or simply joining in the celebration, BG BOOM is the perfect place to celebrate freedom, friendship, and hometown spirit.
