Bexley Day 2026: Lazarus – The Place to Shop

Join Bexley Historical Society Trustees Larry Helman and Peter Bardwell for a special Bexley Day conversation with longtime Bexley resident Peggy Lazarus, of the Lazarus Department Stores family, a Columbus-founded department store chain with deep, generations-long roots in Central Ohio retail and civic life. The discussion will explore the Lazarus family’s legacy and how their department stores shaped Bexley and Central Ohio for more than a century. The talk will be held at the Bexley Public Library Auditorium, a frequent home for the Historical Society’s public talks. Can’t make it in person?
