America 250-Ohio & Granville Celebrates Sports
Granville celebrates America 250 in recognition of our Military and Youth Sports. A tribute to The Impact and Importance of Sports in the Community and recognizing our military, as well as a night to enjoy the local team football game. Sports Fact: Nov. 9, 1907 is recognized as the birthdate of the Ohio High Schools Athletic Association. On Dec. 26, 1907, the OHSAA set the date for its 1st Championship event, a state track and field meet to be held on May 23, 1908, at Beaver Field at Denison University in Granville, Ohio.
This Signature program is also part of the AM250-OH Granville’s Historical Adventure PassBooklet Challenge Program, which rewards the first 250 people to attend & complete 6 of the Monthly Challenge Questions between January 2026 and December 2026 with an America250-Ohio historical commemorative keepsake. The Challenge Question & Answer flyer for this month will be posted on the Community Board by Village Hall & Butterfly Park on Broadway after the completion of this event. This event is Free and Open to the Public. For all ages. ADA accessible.
