His novel Redshirts won the 2013 Hugo Award for Best Novel, and his acclaimed Old Man’s War series has also received multiple Hugo Award nominations. Additional works include The Android’s Dream, Agent to the Stars, and Lock In. In addition to the Hugo, John is also the recipient of numerous awards, including the Locus, Seiun, the Dragon, and the Governor’s Award for the Arts in Ohio. Drawing on his experience as a science fiction author, Scalzi will discuss sci-fi in the modern era, his writing process, and living with his head in the stars.
