Agricultural History Lecture Series: A Nation of Corn
In 2025, farmers in the United States harvested 17 billion bushels of corn. Yet, today, many Americans are unaware of how corn is grown and where it all goes. This installment of the Agricultural History Lecture Series answers these questions through an examination of corn production in the Midwest and beyond. In remembrance of the 250th birthday of the United States, this program series showcases the history of Wood County, as well as boosts the community spirit through outdoor activities and events!
