2026 Hoppel’s Championship Rodeo – Pays tribute to America 250 Celebration
Experience the excitement, tradition, and patriotism of the 2026 Hoppel’s Championship Rodeo, “The Greatest Show on Dirt.” Celebrating its 41st year, this professional rodeo showcases all eight traditional rodeo events sanctioned by the IPRA and APRA, featuring top contestants from 18 states and 2 countries competing for championship titles.
Guests can expect two nights of heart-pounding rodeo action, including bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, breakaway roping, barrel racing, and the crowd-favorite bull riding. Beyond the arena, attendees can enjoy a variety of food and Western merchandise vendors, as well as family-friendly activities, including the Kids Calf Scramble during intermission.
As one of the few permanent outdoor rodeo arenas east of the Mississippi, Hoppel’s Arena offers a truly unique experience with beautiful hillside seating overlooking the arena’s natural bowl. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy an authentic Western tradition under the Friday night lights. The event is held rain or shine.
The 2026 rodeo also serves as a celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary. Rodeo has long represented the values that helped build our nation: hard work, determination, courage, and a deep appreciation for freedom and tradition. Throughout the weekend, guests will experience a patriotic tribute to America’s semiquincentennial, honoring the nation’s history while celebrating the enduring spirit of the American West.
A highlight of the celebration is Operation Flags of Freedom, an impressive display of American flags lining the entrance and driveway to the rodeo grounds, creating a powerful tribute to our nation’s heritage and those who have served to protect it.
Friday, July 3, is Veterans Night, with free admission for all active-duty military personnel and veterans with proper identification. The evening honors the men and women who have served our country and celebrates their contributions to our freedom.
Saturday, July 4, continues the celebration with a special fireworks display following the rodeo performance, providing a fitting tribute to America’s 250th Anniversary and creating an unforgettable Independence Day experience. Advanced Tickets $15, Gate $20 Adult, $15 Children
