As Ohio gears up for the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026, we’re shining a spotlight on the vibrant, inspiring stories told through public art in every corner of the state. Murals Across Ohio is part of America 250-Ohio, a multi-year commemoration inviting all 88 counties to help tell the story of our great state—past, present, and future.

From colorful walls that celebrate hometown heroes to bold images that reflect local culture and innovation, murals are powerful expressions of community pride. Through this initiative, we aim to honor the artists, the stories, and the places that make Ohio unique—while boosting tourism and bringing new visitors to discover the heart and soul of every town recognized in the effort.

Featured murals capture historical milestones, celebrate unique cultures, or envision a brighter tomorrow. We will regularly add new mural sites to the map through 2026, currently we have more than 100 murals in the pipeline to unveil! We invite you to use our Murals Across Ohio map to discover great art and great places from small towns and big cities!
We invite you to join the America 250-Ohio commemoration by sharing information about your mural! Does the mural highlight your city or town’s history or culture, does it commemorate innovations and community pride, does the mural give a nod to a bright future? If you answered, ‘yes,’ we hope you’ll take part in the Murals Across Ohio program. Participating is easy – it’s only two steps and takes two minutes!
After you complete the on-line form, we will send a 12 x 12 inch vinyl version of the of the America 250-Ohio logo to place on the corner of your mural (or on the building beside the mural with permission of the building owner).
