Underground Railroad Gathering 2026

On September 27-28, 2026, America 250-Ohio will host the third annual Underground Railroad Gathering at the Cleveland History Center. The Underground Railroad Gathering is a historic event dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the Underground Railroad in Ohio. This free, two-day event is open to the public and will bring together community members, historians, educators, and cultural organizations to explore and celebrate the legacy of the Underground Railroad in Ohio.

September is Underground Railroad month, and this event is one of America 250-Ohio’s key Under-Told Stories initiatives. Don’t miss this opportunity to highlight the important work being done to preserve, share, and connect Ohio’s Underground Railroad history and help ensure it continues to be shared for generations to come.
