Scientifically, artistically, industrially, and culturally, creativity is written into our state’s DNA. It is the through-line connecting Ohioan’s ingenuity to innovation and inspiration to vivid expressions of the imagination, and a force with the potential to shape Ohio’s future as robustly as it shaped its past. But how we understand and value human creativity in the digital age, and whether we invest in it—from childhood through adulthood, and across education, the arts, sciences, business, and technology—will determine to what degree creativity remains the future of Ohio. Together we’ll travel through Ohio’s creative past, take stock of where we are now, and look to the trends shaping what’s ahead—exploring what it will take to keep Ohio’s creative spirit alive and thriving.
