NEO Historical Day

Guests can talk to and take pictures with reenactors portraying George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, James and Lucretia Garfield and Commodore John Carter. Guests may also talk to representatives from the Lake County Historical Society, Fairport Harbor Marine and Lighthouse Museum, The Indian Museum of Lake County and the Madison Historical Society and the James A. Garfield Civil War Round Table. Book signings will be done by railroad and interurban authors Dan Rager and Kenneth Springirth. A time capsule will be buried, which will be dug up on our nation’s 300th Birthday, July 4, 2076. Tours will be offered of our 133 year old train station and all its artifacts and railroad cars. Rides will be offered around our grounds on our 333 Train Engine. Its a family-friendly event for people of all ages.
