America’s Hometown Theatres- Please Remain Standing

This book speaks to the importance of hometown movie theaters as a “main street business” as part of our country’s architectural legacy. This includes downtown spaces, shared history, and the role that art institutions play in a healthy and vibrant downtown. The goal with this event is to make it a community moment that reflects pride in our downtown and the historical legacy of the Strand as an integral part of our city’s history. This event will have a presentation by the author and a panel discussion. The evening will conclude with a reception and book signing. Tickets are $10.
