Community Freedom Fest
Downtown Eaton’s Community Freedom Fest is a reimagined version of the community’s long-standing Community Fun Fest, created especially for 2026 as part of the nationwide America 250 celebration marking the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Set for Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 5–10 p.m. at Seven Mile Park, the event will bring residents and visitors together for an evening of live music, local food and vendors, family-friendly activities, bounce houses, and a fireworks show at dusk. More than just a summer festival, Community Freedom Fest is designed to reflect the spirit of unity, civic pride, and shared heritage that America 250 seeks to commemorate.
By rebranding this annual tradition, Downtown Eaton — in partnership with the City of Eaton and Eaton Parks & Recreation — is creating a meaningful opportunity for the community to celebrate both local traditions and the nation’s 250-year history. The event highlights the values of freedom, community involvement, and patriotism that have shaped Eaton since its founding in 1806, connecting the city’s own story to the broader American journey.
