Robert McCloskey: Season of Wonder Exhibition

This exhibition is the second year of our partnership with the McCloskey Wonder Works Museum through the Butler County Historical Society. The show features illustrations from McCloskey’s masterpiece, Time of Wonder, on loan from the May Massee Collection at Emporia State University, KS. These vibrant illustrations from the Caldecott winning book tell the story of nature, weather, and wonder as a family explores an island in Maine. Also included are illustrations by Claire Keane from Angela Burke Kunkel’s Make Way, as well as maquettes by sculptor Nancy Schon that capture McCloskey’s illustrated characters in three dimensions.
