Rooted & Rising: Courageous Women of Ohio (Momentum’s Grand Year-End Performance)

Join us for Momentum’s Grand Year-End Performance titled Rooted & Rising: Courageous Women of Ohio. This dance performance marks the end of our 30-week program in schools across central Ohio and will celebrate the lives of nine extraordinary women with Ohio roots who bravely forged their own path. Their stories inspire us to pursue our passions, embrace our individuality, and courageously build a more equitable world. The show honors activist-pharmacist Ella P. Stewart, feminist leader Gloria Steinem, musicians Tracy Chapman and Chrissie Hynde, artist Aminah Robinson, astronaut Kathy Sullivan, artist-architect Maya Lin, author Jacqueline Woodson, and political leader Munira Abdullahi. These women demonstrate determination and persistence, finding innovative ways to lead lives of revolution and impact in the face of challenge and adversity. Their character grounded them, allowing them to flourish as creators and contributors, making the world around them a better place.
