America 250-Ohio & Granville Celebrates 1776 American Culture

The Granville Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution will kick off the day hosting a program by the Hocking Valley Sons of the American Revolution entitled “Why We Wear What We Wear”. Features various uniforms worn by the Revolutionary War Reenactors of the SAR. This is an outdoor event.

There are 23 Revolutionary Soldiers buried in Granville that are known, while there are more soldiers where documentation shows Revolutionary Soldiers are buried in Granville, yet to date, the graves have been unable to be located. Most likely some of these very early graves are buried deep below the ground of the cemetery. As these soldier’s graves are found, Granville looks forward to honoring them for their services.

This Signature program is also part of the AM250-OH Granville’s Historical Adventure Pass Booklet Challenge Program which rewards the first 250 people to attend & complete 6 of the Monthly Challenges Questions between January 2026 – December 2026 with an America250-Ohio historical commemorative keepsake. The Host for the Program will reveal the full question and answers at its program. This event is free and open to the Public. For all ages. ADA accessible.
