Walk In Our Boots 5K Run/Walk

We’re kicking-off Gahanna’s America 250 celebrations by honoring the legacy of military service that secures U.S. freedom and democracy. The Gahanna American Legion Post 797 4th Annual “Walk In Our Boots” 5k Walk/Run fund raising event supports once homeless local veterans so they become re-acclimated to a more normal, self-sustaining life with the help of our community. Knowing many of these veterans gave so much during their previous military life, our mission is to support them every step of the way as they regain personal sustainability, re-establish a home and household, and re-enter the workforce overcoming obstacles many of these men and women faced before, during and after living on the streets in Central Ohio. Guests will benefit by attending a health-focused event, while directly supporting a charitable cause, raising awareness of community organizations, and fostering community connection. $25 Adults / $10 Kids 12+
