America 250-Ohio & Granville Art Walk

Granville has a rich history in the arts. We invite you to Come Stroll Through Granville where galleries come alive with art, music on the sidewalks and activities throughout the day. Free and Open to the Public. For all ages. This is an outdoor and indoor event held at multiple locations downtown Granville.

In addition to the Art Walk, Music and Demonstrations, On May 9th Arts, Culture and Literature will be celebrated with events happening all day long from the Granville Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution kicking off the day hosting a program by the Hocking Valley Sons of the American Revolution entitled “Why We Wear What We Wear” Event 11am-12pm at the College Town House on Broadway, to the Granville Public Library’s “Art Project – We Are All Part Of America’s Story” 12pm-6pm at the Library on Broadway to the Granville Area Chamber of Commerce sponsored Art Walk, Music and Demonstrations from 4pm-7pm. Art, Culture and Literature have been blended into the fabric of Granville since early settlers and continues to be an integral part of Granville’s society. Arts Historical Fact: US Post Office in Granville, Ohio has a mural by Wendell Jones entitled “First Pulpit in Granville” depicting the original settlers. It is an oil on canvas that was installed in 1938. The post office mural project evolved from the U.S. Public Works of Art Project which was later called the Section of Fine Arts.

This Signature program is also part of the AM250-OH Granville’s Historical Adventure Pass Booklet Challenge Program which rewards the first 250 people to attend & complete 6 of the Monthly Challenges Questions between January 2026 – December 2026 with an America250-Ohio historical commemorative keepsake. The Host for the Program will reveal the full question and answers at its program. The Challenge Question & Answer flyer for this month will be posted upon completion of these programs at the Granville Area Chamber of Commerce Offices 110 E Elm St., ,Suite D.
