Introducing 250 of Ohio’s Favorites—your chance to tell us what you love best about Ohio!
Here at America 250-Ohio we are excited about the 250th anniversary of U.S. and the signing of the Declaration in 2026 but we aren’t waiting until then to start celebrating.
We’re getting started by collecting “a few of our favorite things.” Actually, we’re going to build a list of 250 of Ohio’s favorites and we need your help to collect them!
That’s right, we’re asking Ohioans to help us build a master list of 250 of Ohio’s Favorites. We will be using our social media channels to get your input about your Ohio favorites in different categories. There will be a new category every few weeks. It’s easy to participate, just follow or like us on Facebook or Instagram and then submit your ideas to one of our social media channels.
Inspire others to save your Ohio faves!
When you share your favorites, we encourage you to share more than the name of your Ohio favorite. We welcome the sharing of stories, photos, and telling us why it is your favorite. We believe this will inspire folks to check it out for themselves!
The ideas of the collected Ohio favorites will be collected over time to create a master list that will be shared on our website, social media, blogs, etc
We’re doing it to celebrate, discover, and learn more about Ohio.
This collection of favorites is just for fun. There won’t be a ranking or contest, and there won’t be any prizes – it’s just an opportunity to share your faves with others and be inspired to learn more about this great state we live in.

So, are you ready to share your favorites? Our first category is “favorite small towns and neighborhoods in Ohio” – share about where you live or have visited and why it is your favorite. Don’t worry about what we might consider a “small” town. You tell us! We have so many wonderful small towns and neighborhoods in Ohio, and we can’t wait to see what you’ll share
