Founded in 1802, Newark has been the hub of industry, transportation and culture for centuries. We are excited you can experience this history firsthand by arriving by train.\nJoin us for our annual Newark Strawberry Festival, which takes place the weekend after Memorial Day every year in Downtown Newark, OH. The event is hosted by the Newark Kiwanis Club and features their famous strawberry shortcake, in addition to food vendors, rides for people of all ages, music and entertainment and a fireworks display. Every year, 30,000-50,000 attend the family friendly event, which has taken place for over 40 years.\nAlong with celebrating everything strawberry we will have curated experiences for all ages and interests, including historical tours of four famed architectural buildings. Our restaurants are also ready to whet your appetites with some of the most eclectic menus in Central Ohio.\nAdded Bonus: All passengers will have free admission to the Works Museum, (Saturday Trip Only.)\nAdditional Attractions: While in Newark, you have the opportunity to join an architecture tour at the Newark Arcade, Courthouse West Courtroom, Midland Theater, Louise Sullivan Building and Historic Jail. All tours are free with the exception of the Jail which is $10 per person. Children under 12 are free.\nOption: Travel by train to Newark on Saturday and stay overnight in Newark at the Doubletree by Hilton. Enjoy great dining in town. Take the return train back to Dennison Sunday at 3pm.\n
